$1285 for two xrays ... Yes you read that right... that much they charged me for two xrays that took merely 10 mins.
Dr Hovater did a reverse left shoulder replacement surgery on me on 10/16/2017. He did a great job. But more importantly to me was the care that all of my nurses gave me on the 2nd floor after my surgery. They did a GREAT job taking care of me and my few needs I had. Always using hand sanitizer coming and leaving my room. Showing compassion. These nurses are the reason I always choose Helen Keller Hospital. They are the backbone of the hospital. So I just wanted to say Thank You to all the nurses that took care of me during my stay. Y’all are the epitome of what all nurses should strive to be. THANK YOU !!!!
Helen Keller is the worst hospital in North Alabama. Only take your family member here if you do not want to have the proper treatment for your illness, if you do not want to be cared for and if you want to leave in the same or worse condition than you came in. Just make the extra drive to ECM or Huntsville, do not waste your time or money. (I would rate this hospital a zero but for review purposes it makes you select a star rating before you can post a review.)
I have a horrible experience in this hospital , my primary physician advised me just to take xrays from this Hospital on Sep 9th,2017 as it was a Saturday and their xray lab was closed, So we just took 2 xrays. We didn't take any treatment or consultation cause everything happened on my network urgent care.
Guess what I received a bill of $1285 with a insurance discount of $679 that makes me pay rest of $606. Can you believe that? I called their customer service and they said pay the bill in monthly basis but i have to pay $606.
I made my friends aware too and writing this review others too ...So disappointed! Will never ever visit again.
The ER staff and nurse practitioner I seen were absolutely wonderful! They are very understanding and compassionate about what they do! This hospital is the only one I will ever go to or take a loved one in an emergency.
I visited here for my first experience delivering my daughter. The nurses were exceptional. I grew closely to each one of them and they truly made my experience the best of could have possibly been. I just received my hospital bill (lower than I expected) and they told me if I paid the balance within 30 days I would receive a 40% discount!! So thrilled with this hospital. I will be returning with each of my deliveries. Oh, and the food was better than I expected! Clean hospital.. I'm thankful to have this institution in my town!! Go HK!!
